      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Casper nel mese di set 2020

      Colloquio

I applied for the role and heard back about scheduling an interview about a month later. The first round was a video interview with a VP in HR which is definitely unusually. From there she said she’d be connecting me with the recruiter for a phone screen to answer more of my questions. I heard back from the recruiter about a week later and scheduled time for the next week. She emailed me the day of the phone call to reschedule for the following week. Again, went along with it as interviewing is always a convoluted process. 15 minutes into the rescheduled time she says we need to reschedule again. Hindsight is 20/20 so I should have called it a day at that point, but went along with it and rescheduled for the following week (third attempt). We finally connect for the phone call where she tells me there’s another candidate in the final rounds (you don’t say… it’s been over a month since our initial call). Seemed like a waste of both of our time, but we had the phone screen anyway and she said she’d let me know what happens. It sounds like it’s a theme from reading other interview experiences, but I never heard back and instead discovered the role had been filled via LinkedIn. To echo the sentiments of other interviewees, I’m glad it didn’t pan out because if this is how they treat prospective employees imagine how they treat actual employed ones. As someone who works in HR themselves, my advice to them would be to prioritize communication to candidates and always close the cycle, even if it’s with an automated message. Retail and eCommerce is a small industry.
