A brief review: I would recommend attending the Celsuis assessment day to anyone. It was a long day, however, I found it to be a great experience giving me insight into sales. I met a bunch of likeminded graduates.
Around 25 people attended the assessment day. On arrival we had to complete a math and literacy test. The assessment day started with a brief introduction outlining the day and an introduction about Celsuis by David Shields. After the intro, we were asked a few questions (Why sales? Why Graduates? Why Technology?) Have multiple answers for each. Its not a shouting match at Celsuis, David takes his time and allows a lot of candidates to answer. We had to complete a 1 minute presentation to the group answering (Name, University and achieved degree, best non-academic achievement and most inspirational person). In groups we completed a red letter task whereby you work in groups to plan how to pitch a service to a potential client (very enjoyable). You find candidates feel they need to be a leader in the challenge. I wasn't either a leader or sub leader in the task.
Having been successful through the first stage (around 14/25 made it through) , David Shields presentation a long interesting presentation on how to prepare for a 'Sales Campaign' (interview). Bring a notepad and pen. Meanwhile, candidates are being taken out for 1 to 1 interviews asking the usual interview questions (What motivates you? etc.)
Passing the second stage (around 9/14 made it through), you will be briefed on available positions and book future interviews. I booked one for the following day and a few for the following week.
When preparing for each interview your appointed Talent Manager will call you in advance going over the business and the available position's role and responsibilities. Additionally, David Shields contacted me multiple times to further prepare me for interviews.
After 2 weeks with Celsuis I was offered a great opportunity with a London Software company.
