Three rounds of writing samples that were reviewed by internal and external experts. Then invited for in person interview. The in person interview actually consisted of an initial interview with manager, a series of 3 or 4 additional interviews with various people in the company, and then a wrap up with the manager. The entire time I got the impression that they were trying to convince me to work there - seems they had already decided they wanted to hire me based on my writing samples. The in person interview was not difficult, but the entire process was fairly difficult in that it took a very long time and I had to be very persistent and meet the deadlines for the writing samples they set out. I'm sure this is how they weed a lot of people out because it did take quite a bit of time and the directions were very specific. You couldn't just pull something you wrote in school out of a drawer and use it - you had to write everything from scratch. The entire process took 5 months from the time I applied until the time I was hired due to bankruptcy status and hiring freeze.
