Recruiter reached out next day after applying to schedule a phone interview for the following week. That call went well. Standard screening with basic questions. A couple days later video interviews were setup for the following week with a peer manager and hiring manager. Peer manager interview went well. Talked about the role and the team and I was able to share my background and experiences as well. Interview with hiring manager the next day went okay. Interviewer claimed technical difficulty and wasn’t able to be on video. Left me talking to a video of myself for the majority of the interview. Didn’t get great vibes about the situation I’d be walking into and ended the interview knowing I was no longer interested. Sent follow-up thank you emails to everyone anyway. Workday wouldn’t and still won’t let me withdraw my application as I’ve found an opportunity I feel better about with another company. It’s been 2+ months since and no word back from anyone. Wish companies would end this practice of ghosting candidates. Very unprofessional and a huge deterrent from applying with said company in future.
