      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura tramite un selezionatore. La procedura ha richiesto un giorno. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Central Insurance

      Colloquio

I was contacted by a recruiter about this position, and, after expressing interest in the opportunity, I was referred for a phone interview. The phone interview was with an HR rep taking the lead and the hiring manager in the 'back seat', so to speak, which I found to be an inauspicious sign. It was stated at the outset the desire to keep the interview at around a half an hour which may have been fine if they didn't want my pre-insurance-career biography that took up a large chunk of time. I do not consider myself to be a chatty person, but I found myself getting cut-off frequently for the sake of the next question being asked. At the end of the conversation- exactly 30 minutes- it was explained to me that the interviewers had many other phone interviews to conduct that day, hence the forced brevity. The feeling of being part of a cattle-call was palpable. I spent almost twice as much time on the phone with the recruiter in advance of the interview, and had a much more detailed discussion about my industry experience and abilities than with the company. Had I been given the 'breathing-room' to discuss my experiences and fully answer questions perhaps things would have gone differently. Then again, if a company's 'best foot forward' in courting talent can't spare an extra ten minutes on a candidate, one should really wonder what the company culture is really like.

      Domande di colloquio [1]

      Domanda 1

The interviewer asked about commercial & personal lines appetites of my prior and current employers.
