      Colloquio

      The interviews themselves were fair but recruiter was unprofessional. The process had six steps: interview with recruiter, short answers to 10 questions over email, interview with hiring manager, at-home assignment, interview with team member about assignment, on-site with 4-5 separate interviews. They could perhaps cut down 1-2 of the steps since a lot of it was redundant. I had a good experience during the on-site interview. Everybody that interviewed me was pleasant and the questions were fair. Mostly questions about experience and behavioral topics. The recruiter just didn’t know much about the process. Given that there were so many steps, when I asked her about information for the upcoming interviews, she often replied by just saying “I don’t know”. One time she said something like ‘it’s with the data guy’. This just reflects unprofessional behavior since all other places I’ve ever interviewed with have informed candidates on the topics of the various interviews (e.g. there will be a technical component and 2 behavioral components). After the interview the recruiter told me that I’d probably be getting an offer and to get my recommendations ready and she’d be sending over the details of the package. Again I thought that was unprofessional and unfair to other candidates. Especially because the interviewers hadn’t actually made a decision. Then it turns out I was not given an offer.
