I was recruited directly from one of the affiliate unions at the time when the organization was starting up. A few years later, I was offered a lateral move to work on public policy related programs, which including extensive discussions with the executive director and the team leader, but it was mainly to try to convince me to make the move. I was later able to reverse the lateral move to my original position.
