      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura tramite un selezionatore. La procedura ha richiesto 5 giorni. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Charlie Health (San Mateo, CA) nel mese di set 2024

      Colloquio

The recruiter reached out to me on LinkedIn, and we had a 30-minute Zoom interview. I then moved on to the next interview with the Director of Clinical Outreach. The meeting with the recruiter felt rushed, even though I joined on time. He mentioned that he had scheduled meetings back-to-back, which I found odd for a recruiter. You should always anticipate calls running 10-15 minutes over and leave some buffer time in between. Anyway, we didn’t have enough time to cover everything, so he asked me to schedule another 15-minute slot on his calendar for the following day. The last thing he mentioned was that my job experience might raise questions because, according to him, it seemed like I was "hopping around." I found that interesting because I personally don’t see it that way, and no one has ever pointed that out before. I’ve worked at organizations for a minimum of 1-2 years before moving on. Plus, all of my roles have been in healthcare and related fields, so it was strange for him to even bring it up. He requested that I send an email explaining these transitions, which I did. The next day, despite scheduling a Zoom meeting, the recruiter ended up calling me instead. -_- We discussed compensation, and he thanked me for the email. When I asked about the next steps, he explained that there would be a total of three interviews: the first with the Director of Clinical Outreach, the second with the same Director involving role-playing scenarios, and the third with the Director again, joined by someone else (I don’t recall who). The recruiter called again to confirm my interview with the Director, which I scheduled for the next day. During my interview with the Director, I noticed his questions were quite random, focusing on behavioral aspects and “the why” behind my decision to join CH. When I explained that I’m passionate about mental health and serving the community, he pressed me to dig deeper and get more personal, which I found a bit odd—it’s a job interview, not a therapy session. Despite that, I felt confident in my answers because he seemed engaged and would keep going off my answers. However, I believe he didn’t like that I wasn’t aggressively or desperately searching for a job. When he asked if I was actively looking, I said I’m open to opportunities but not in a rush, as it has to be the right fit for both parties. His demeanor changed after that, which was a major red flag. It seems they want people who are desperate to work in an organization filled with mentally drained and unhappy employees. It’s really sad. This was actually my second interview with CH. The first one was last year for a different role. I beat myself up for not getting that position back then, but that was before I did more research on CH. Now, I realize I dodged a bullet. It's a manager role but you're not managing a team, and they added "Manager" in the title, so it sounds important. The salary is also not for a managerial role. It's more of a sales and outreach role, which is totally fine but the ad itself could be misleading. Healthcare—and any workplace, for that matter—doesn’t have to be a toxic environment. If you trust Amazon reviews, you should definitely pay attention to reviews about the companies you’re applying to. An organization that claims to champion mental health should, first and foremost, prioritize the well-being of its employees. Also, it's worth noting that these interviews are being recorded. Have you ever wondered what happens to those recordings? They really should notify people beforehand... I already knew if even if I got an offer I was going to decline, I like the challenge, I'm just not good at acting desperate to work for an organization like CH. PS. The salary range is BS because it seems to also be commission based?? The explanation wasn't very clear to me. Good luck if you’re interviewing for this company! If you really need the job, I genuinely hope you get it. But remember, nothing that threatens your mental health is worth the paycheck.

Extensive but for a reason. Initial exploratory call with recruiter, formal interview with direct supervisor and then another with the regional supervisor. Plus a case study/mock pitch that they score. Only 2% of applicants make it through

They ask you to do a mock pitch of how you would conduct an in person pitch a different medical/behavioral facilities

The process ended up being a lot more intense than I expected. In about a week, I went through four interviews, a very long behavioral assessment (200 questions), and had to prepare a mock pitch. Everyone I spoke with was kind, but the overall process felt like a lot for one role, especially on such a tight timeline. It required a pretty big time commitment and some last minute schedule changes on my end.
