I feel like I was misled during the selection process for a completely free audit.
The process began with a screening by HR. Afterward, I completed a case study that took about 5–7 hours, in which I was given the option to develop a GTM strategy from scratch for one out of two Chekin products. The case involved various challenges that needed to be addressed and explained.
I had another interview with the department head, to whom I explained my entire approach.
The feedback was positive and well-received. I was told they would let me know about new steps, but after waiting a few days, I decided to speak with the HR manager, who replied that they were not proceeding with my application because I did not meet requirements that were NOT listed for this position nor included in the job listing.
I am convinced that the company is looking for candidates to obtain free audits and solutions to problems in their strategy.
Over the next few months, I will remain vigilant to see if they implement my GTM strategy. I have made it very clear to the company that I will not allow it to be applied without my consent for commercial purposes.
