I applied through a recruiter in Melbourne. There was no job description but the role title sounded good. After representing my resume, they agreed to go to first stage, which was a coding task. The requirements of coding were a bit unclear, so I sent and email to clarify those requirements but never got a response even after following-up. I completed the task according to my perception, and they really liked my work. Then I was moved to final stage of hiring process This was an interview on Teams. They asked some backend and cloud questions which I answered correctly. At the end, the front end developer in the interview panel started asking some very deep front end questios, which are specific to front end developers. I answered some of them correctly, some of them incorrectly. The interview finished. Finally, I received response that they need a more full stack developer having more skills on front end. A bit frustrating for a position which needed a strong backend developer.
