      Internal interviews for an RTA 3 position was held and no one "passing". I even had some of the multiple choice question answers thanks to one of my co-workers. The part of the assessment that was "failed" was the multiple choice. Feels rigged.

      Colloquio

      I applied online for multiple positions until I ultimately got through for an interview after the second generic email rejection. Being a candidate from out of state, they do not provide relocation assistance which is fine as I've considered relocating to Dallas given the right career opportunity. All interviews were done virtually due to COVID 19. The interview process was very positive and it was such a pleasure to speak to all the interviewers. I had four interviews. First being the initial screening with the recruiter, second with the manager, third with the assistant director, and last with four people that included the manager, assistant director, operations manager, and HR manager all seperately for 45 minutes each. The assistant director was new into his role and was looking to make a lot of positive changes. They were all honest and transparent about the challenges and opportunities the workforce team was going through. After each interview, I received positive feedback and I was very excited to learn I was extended the offer two days later, however, I was only given a verbal offer without any compensation details. She explained she would have that information to me the next day. I asked the recruiter if she had an idea if my salary expectations I gave in the initial screening were taken into consideration. She read back a completely inaccurate range 10-15k below my expectations that I am confident I would have never given. She advised me she would send the correction over to the comp team to review. The following day she reaches out and confirms the salary which was significantly less than the first error, but 22k less than my expected range. Should I have known my salary expectations was not within their budget, I would have not pursued. Their justification had to do with equity and what the current workforce team in similar roles were making, ALL information they already had when I was first screened. Some of the feedback I received about the workforce team was negative. Lack of common sense, priorities, and accountability just to name a few. I have worked with many people that lacked those qualities and they are hard to change. It makes it difficult for others that do work hard to stay motivated when their peers are not being held accountable. Hire good people and offer a competitive salary. If you hire people with no accountability and no common sense, that reflects on you as management. Your good employees will likely suffer from it and leave you. I had high expectations for Chewy. Despite the negative outcome, I genuinely did enjoy conversing with many of the interviewers. Seeing that many of them were new into their role, I can understand the difficulty of coming into a position and trying to implement behaviorial changes, or changes overall. I wish them and the team the best of luck.
