Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto più di una settimana. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Chipotle (Denver, CO)

      Colloquio

I was asked to do the video interview. There were 5 questions from what I can remember they were: What makes a top performer? How do you handle telling someone something they don't want to hear? Why do you want to work for Chipotle? What interests you most about this position? Tell me about your education / experience (something generic) Within 2 days I was contacted to come in for an in-person interview. I was met by 3 people and was asked why I wanted to work for Chipotle, what I knew about Chipotle and what my educational history was. That was it. I found it odd that a recent college graduate that "had only been there 6 weeks" was part of the interview process. The other person had been there 5 months and the other a few years. Seems like a lot of turn-a-around. Definitely felt like my time was wasted. I answered more questions in the video interview than they asked me in person. A young culture that seems unaware of the corporate hierarchy around them...I don't think anyone with experience would enjoy the inevitable hiccups. An offer wasn't offered. I was thankful.

Nothing was unexpected. They want you to say you are a hard worker and that anyone has the ability to be a top performer. Pretty typical.

      Colloquio

When I first received feedback from my application, i naturally looked on glass door for ratings and tips for interviews. The reviews are terrible, I tried convincing myself that these were probably posted by upset prospective employees that didn't make the cut. However, I was so turned off by the reviews, I went in with the mindset of it is just practice. So, in the shortest possible opinion to what they call their "interview process", incompetent and lack of a skill-set that should have been well developed before puberty. my resume was forwarded to a recruiter at chipotle and within an hour, I had an email in my inbox. Cool huh? We had a phone interview, and she suggested a position for me that wasn't available quite yet, and advised that we would keep in touch. So sweet! I did my normal follow-up thank you because it is respectful, and heard nothing back. Must have failed the vocabulary test containing the definition for "keep in touch/stay in touch". Went on my merry way because to be frank, it would be settling and not advancing to move forward with this company. So maybe that was harsh, but it is true. Alrighty, I go on my Merry way and 4 months later I apply for a job through indeed Bc I thought why not, my information is already put in, who cares! Submit application and a few days later I receive an email from the same recruiter .... Writing to me as if she has never heard of my name or email before. If this was a huge corporation, possibly understandable but with a unique name, it would be hard. So that was annoying. From the beginning I noted that the woman or toddler I guess I should say, Seemed new. Alrighty, I received email, did a digital pre recorded interview - haha. - I laugh Bc it was a screening for someone who already screened me but I was a new candidate to her I guess. That wasn't bad, just awkward. I mean, I guess it is similar to if you don't want to date - if you don't want a response or feedback from the other, then this is your cup of tea. Moreover, you are talking to a computer screen and have no one to respond to, or ask questions. Okay so I did that, emailed the recruiter who probably already forgot my name, and she was on vacation for two weeks. Say what? Haha. Okay so somehow I got through that step, and was asked to do a video interview which was substitution of face to face since I'm not local. Set that up, got on Skype and first noted, these people are children. I'm not old by any means but sweethearts, I probably denied your fake id two years ago for being a minor at the bar I worked at while in college. Mid sentence of me answering the infamous about me question, I get interrupted.... "Do you want us to just call you" say what? Okay fine. I mean I guess it seemed to be cutting out ? Maybe? Who knows. My internet connection was fine. They call me, and during this, the call drops twice. Okay it was clearly their connection Bc my phone was not connected to the Internet and I had full service on my phone. I tried to make light of the situation and said "okay this third time could not have been my phone" eh whatever, either way, respect your elders haha!!! Finally in the end, I requested contact information and what would be the easiest for them and for me to obtain and one toddler said "I'll collect them all and email them to you" ... So nice! Got off the call & didn't receive contact information. With the value most admire, initiative, I attached a thank you letter and emailed it to a recruiter I had been in contact with via one email Bc you know, the one who doesn't remember people, was on vacation for two weeks. He forwarded it along and advised that my forgetful recruiter returned and to contact her. Received an email from her saying I would not be a fit. Thirteen characteristics. Who has 13? A lot extreme if you can't abide by them. That's just like Friday the 13th, nothing good comes from such. Go ahead and strike honest, ambition and positive energy off their list. I am trying to think of the others but can't recall... Oh and presentable! Lack of professionalism. I asked what they enjoyed most about working there, and they all said "the people" way to copy and paste your response from the website. Finally the denial email - she literally pulled verbiage from my emails to try and make herself sound more "professional" i highly advise against unless you just want practice. I felt overqualified which isn't me being overly confident bc I haven't done so well in the past, but this was .... Almost a teaching method to them.

      Colloquio

After completing their online application, I received a phone call from one of the compliance specialist's within 10 days. The compliance specialist called asking when I would be available to come in for an interview. We set up a time for the following week. Following our phone call, I received an email confirmation with more details about the interview. On the day of the interview, I arrived early, and was met by three compliance specialists. In total I was asked about 4 or 5 questions. Next I was asked if I had any questions for them. I proceeded to ask a few of them. The interview was over within 40 minutes. They said they would be in touch by the end of the week. I received an email within 48 hours stating that I was not going to receive an offer.

The questions asked were more "people-related" questions than work-product questions. One of the questions asked if there was a time that I noticed someone who was not living up to their potential, and how I handled that situation.
