You are interviewed by 4 persons, all related to position you are applying for, part of the interviews are 1:1 and part are by phone. the 1:1 were in Brazil and in Portuguese, the ones by phone were with executives and they were in English.

Exceptionally Pathetic Process. Try not to get fall into Ciena Interview process. In an interview invitation it would be mentioned that they have 4 rounds- Written Test, 2 face to face interview, HR. However, you will be stunned after reaching interview venue that they have 7-8 rounds. 1 written test, 5 face to face interviews, 1 managerial, 1 HR round. On first day they take one written test and 3 face to face interviews. After that they say their panel is not available for other interviews. Please come on some other day for 2-3 hours on week day. When you reach on second day for more interviews 2 face to face rounds happen. After clearing these rounds one managerial round. Managerial round is more of an aptitude round. Manger asks your Current CTC, Expected CTC. After this their DRAMA starts. Manager will say they will get back to you in few days. I want to ask that if you want to hire after few days, then why you wasted so much time of candidate. You are still left with little hope that they will get back to you in weeks' time. But when you follow up on the same you will get to know you are their BACK UP candidate. They say they have drive in Bangalore after that they will get back to you. It has been around 2.5 months but no update yet. I believe they might be stuck in Bangalore traffic or in its rainy season.
I would propose to Ciena please don't give false hope to candidate. Its their career. DON'T PLAY with it. Give clear response to candidate whether he/she is hired or not. Many Thanks!!!
