I was contacted by a company recruiter about 2 months after applying online. I got through the initial phone interview. We had a great discussion for more than an hour. There were nothing but questions about my resume, experience and how I can add value to the company. I cleared the first telephonic round and received the feedback from HR as well that it went really well and we will proceed for your next round of interview which will be a video call round, where panel from North America will take the interview.
I was happy on this and waited for HR to confirm back on the schedule for the video call interview but even after 1 week I didn’t hear back from her. I tried contacting her and she explained that North America interview panel is on leaves and she is following up with them regularly and she can setup the next round in next week.
Its 3rd week after the telephonic discussion and I didn’t hear back from the recruiter. I am continued my followups on email as well as her number every time she says that it is in process and tomorrow she will setup the interview but that tomorrow never came.
It’s 6th week after the telephonic happened, recruiter is not replying over emails and pings. Also she sent me an anonymous email asking the basic details like explain your resume, how you are the best fit for the company and what all are your job responsibilities, which we already discussed several times during screening and telephonic discussion.
Recruiter is really unprofessional as she is not giving a clear sign and not even replying. Really bad interview experience with Ciena. Ciena should take care of this kind of experience as candidate always look at the image of company and these kind of incidents make the image negative.
There should a forum where these kind of recruitment matter can be escalated.
