I had a brief interaction with Cisco representatives at university career fare. They asked me few questions about projects that I did and was called for an onsite interview the next day.

Design question.. On how are you going to represent a train.. number of passenger cart it's current carrying .. number of passengers in every cart etc... basically to check the understanding of OO concepts... Some questions about projects .... Bit manipulation: No. of bits set in an 32 bit integer..
They care about your skills, rather than your background. They have a template which they provide and you got to fill that, everyone is provided a unique number. You are instructed not to disclose any of your personal details in the due course of your interview.
