After initial phone screening (it took almost 2 weeks of going back and forth e-mails with intermittent no response for days to arrange this, same with 1:1 interview), I was called on site. Office and people seemed nice.
Luckily for me their recruiter had a discussion regarding compensation prospects right at the beginning.and when he insisted on what I am making, from his expressions/body language it seemed like they would not be able to match it or come even close to it. Agree with other poster's advice.
" in order to attract top talent, it is insufficient to claim to be a great place to work. You need to put something material forward. If you are not willing to do this, please save yourself and candidates some time by disclosing that your compensation package is mediocre."
