Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto 3 settimane. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Club Monaco (Toronto, ON) nel mese di mar 2013

      Colloquio

I was looking around for a job and found some online advertisements for Stock and Sales Associate positions at Club Monaco. I applied online, though I recommend you call in the specific store first and make sure they're hiring and if they are, you should definitely bring a resume personally and ask for a hiring manager. Make sure you leave a good first impression and I'm not talking about just your personality. You really need to look the part. I suggest going into a Club Monaco and taking a look at the current style and trend. If you don't feel comfortable or that you have to change who you are, I wouldn't recommend applying. About a week later, after submitting my resume online, I received a call from a hiring manager and asked to come in for a group interview. Club Monaco does group interviews and I believe they always have. Its mainly to filter out potential candidates. So the interview was very subtle and friendly. I was with three other males. The types of questions they asked were mainly stock related so be prepared to answer that. Try to get a seat in the middle so that you can get some time to get think before answering a question. Don't ever repeat answers that was previously stated. Just smile a lot but don't be arrogant and even if its not your turn, at least 'pretend' to listen to the others. Make eye contact. If you're sociable, this should be a breeze. The hardest part is passing their dress code. So after the interview, we were told we'd be notified within 48 hours and at the latest 4 days. I didn't hear back from them so I called. DON'T be afraid to pester them about making a follow up call. They want to see your dedication to working so is absolutely okay to try and follow up if you think they forgot their deadline. I received an email from one of the hiring managers to come meet the store manager. I politely responded and thats it. During the second question ask you more personal questions and focus a lot on work ethics and efficiency. Most of the time, a job is apparently given after you get a 1on1 interview. It is not a given but they wouldn't spend three weeks trying to hire someone they didn't believe they were a high potential candidate.

      Colloquio

Due to some insinuating circumstances, I was interviewed by another store's store manager. She was very professional and honest, and she was dressed in a black maxi dress, a denim jacket, heavy silver jewelry and a natural/professional face of makeup. I was first asked to fill out an application before the interview. When we were walking towards the benches she asked me why would I want to do stock (I was previously a sales associate)? When we sat down, the questions she asked in order were: 1. Of all the stock rooms in retail, why Club's? 2. Describe yourself. Everyone say they are aggressive, how so? 3. How you would deal with an under performing colleague? What if they are not receptive to your suggestions, then what? Around then I was interrupted by a green keyholder, who needed the manager's guidance for the till. She left with him for approx 5 minutes. We continued after she returned. 4. How do you feel about teamwork? What does that mean to you? 5. Let's say you just came back from a couple days off, the stock room is a mess with hangers on the floor, there are a whole bunch of markdowns needed to be completed, and new boxes came in for the flip, which is suppose to happen this upcoming Sunday. Which order would you get things done in? 6. What are the qualities of a successful stock person? 7. Questions? Make sure to prepared questions for the manager, even if you know the answer to them already. I asked: 1. What is the official job description. Give me a several duties I will be responsible for. 2. What will my compensation be? As in my hourly wage. 3. When should I hear back from you? I was dressed head to toe black (peg leg trousers, linen tee, round toe chunky mid heels) punctuated with gold jewelry (Egyptian-esque choker, simple rings). I was told to dress clean and simple, keep your nails either black or nude, and no shorts. I think to dress business casual is the right way to go, make it more interesting by choosing basicsthat are unconventionally cut and remember to accessorize to your personality. The starting wage in AB, Canada is 11.5$, but they'll tell you it is based on past experience.
