Multiple interviews including a screening interview with HR, an interview with the hiring manager, and then a panel interview with peers, direct reports and the hiring manager, including a requirement to develop and present on an assigned topic.

First interview was wonderful. Second interview experience was horrible. Interview questions seemed biased and esoteric. How would an external candidate be able to determine the decision making matrix within the company if he doesn't have context or a complete understanding of the departments? Maybe make the questions a bit more standard so external candidates have a fair playing field.
