Positive initial phone screening interview during which time I was told they were in need of someone very soon, and the dept was in disarray. Received call soon after to set up 1/2 day of 8 half-hour interviews all with different employees. I didn't mind the interviews and I thought they went very well. I left with the assumption that they would be hiring someone as soon as possible. After a few days, I tried emailing the person who had been communicating with me before the interviews. I simply asked when I should be expecting to hear back either way. I did not get a reply from her. Worse yet and very strangely, I did not get any response back of any kind ever. It's been over two months since my in-person interviews and no one has even sent an email to tell me I didn't get the job or that there were changes of some kind that caused the opening to be closed. Disrespectful. Unprofessional. Inexcusable.
