Applied for the position on LinkedIn. Was mislead by the recruiter on what the salary was. Gave a range and the recruiter told me it was out of the range they were looking to pay but it wasn't a deal breaker. Was moved to the next step where I had a technical interview with a member of the team and the manager. Did well there then was passed to the Director of Support where we discussed salary. Was told by the director that she was told by the recruiter that I said I didn't want my salary to be a deal breaker when it was the other way around. Time was wasted in both ends when it could have been better managed if the recruiter let me know initially that it was a deal breaker instead of pushing me through to the next step.
After talking with the director , was told I would hear back early the next week but never heard back. Wasn't really expecting to anyway after being told that my salary expectations were outside of the range they were budgeting.
