I participated in the placement process for the Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) role at Cohesity India on September 30th, 2024. Out of 215 candidates, 4 were selected. The process began with an online assessment on Codesignal, covering OS, CN, Linux, Cloud, and aptitude. The technical rounds focused on system fundamentals, including file systems, the OSI model, DHCP, and Linux-based troubleshooting. No DSA questions were asked. The final HR round consisted of scenario-based questions to assess how candidates handle workplace situations. Overall, it was a positive experience with knowledgeable interviewers and role-relevant questions, making it a valuable process.

I recently participated in the placement process for the Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) role at Cohesity India, which took place on September 30th, 2024. Round 1 was an online assessment on Codesignal, consisting of 45 MCQs covering OS, CN, Linux, Cloud, and aptitude. Speed and accuracy were crucial, as we had 30 minutes with no negative marking. Round 2 was a technical interview with 25 candidates. It focused on system fundamentals, including file systems (Windows, Linux), the OSI model, and general OS and CN concepts. No DSA questions were asked. Round 3 tested core concepts like DHCP and hardware troubleshooting with Linux commands. There were also questions about system configurations, highlighting the importance of a solid grasp of technical fundamentals. Round 4 was an HR round with scenario-based questions aimed at assessing how candidates would handle situations in a corporate environment. The key here was to be honest and genuine. Overall, it was a great experience with highly knowledgeable interviewers who asked role-relevant questions, making it one of the best interviews I've had.
