We had a 30 minute zoom call, to which the interviewer was late. The questions were incredibly arbitrary and had nothing to do with the job or my qualifications. When I asked about why the this role is open, I received a very drawn out and hard to believe story. The interviewer didn't really give any useful feedback during the interview and when I got rejected I was told I wasn't qualified, even though we didn't discuss my qualifications at all.

Looks like I'm in great company because all of the other CSM interview experiences also seem to be negative - and mine is no different!
I think the Co-Founder thought he could avoid a negative review by sharing their absurd standards BEFORE the interview so the interview-ee would agree to them right away...
Apparently, to work this CSM job for an "influencer marketing software" (that is truly paying the bare-minimum salary requirements expected of this role in NYC), you have to sign off on "being available to answer Slacks and emails at all hours of the day" and essentially dedicate your life to this company. His email made me laugh, made me cringe. Good luck out there to everyone else looking for work, but this is NOT the place for anyone who expects to be treated fairly in the workplace.

Things started great with a very strong recruitment screen with the people team. The next step was a zoom call with one of the co-founders. This person showed up late, had an apathetic tone, and asked irrelevant behavior questions. When I asked about the priorities of the CSM, the co-founder made a very strange, off color remark - comparing getting renewals with oral sex. The language used was very harsh and inappropriate. The next day I got a short email saying I was not a fit at this time.

If given the option, would you rather get something done on time with mistakes, or done late with perfection?
