Phone Screen with HR, then 2 simultaneous in-person technical interviews and a financial modeling test. Had a referral so the process went fairly quickly, however the financial modeling test was rushed and asked to perform on an old PC laptop with no mouse which is difficult if you aren't an Excel keyboard wiz.

I had a really unpleasant interview process with CRC. I had connected with 6 employees which were all amazing and after being referred I was asked to first meet the Managing director and after that went well I was asked to proceed but even though the original posting (still active) was for IB analyst, HR informed me that the recruiting changed and they only want summer analysts (contradictory to what all the CRC colleagues told me as well). I anyway decided to continue so I had a phone interview with HR and then the critical reasoning test as a next stage. The critical reasoning test was the classic problem with 2 buckets transferring liquid from one bucket to the other one in an alternating fashion. I prepared a model which was operating fine and accurately and after walking the HR through my logic, I received an email saying that I’m moving to the next stage (as my model was also working) which is a technical interview. The exact following day I received another email saying that I am not moving forward without really any explanation. The whole miscommunication and long time that this took was unbelievable - the only reason I wanted to keep going is because I really liked the people I spoke to.
