After reading many negative reviews about Coincover i noticed some positive ones that are more recent about "change". This led me to interview for the Engineering role.
Unfortunately this was the most long winded, contradictory and blurred interview process i have ever done in 10 years. I had 7 interview stages ranging from Engineering, to Finance then eventually the CEO(perhaps more if i included countless recruiter calls). In all the stages they had no idea who had interviewed me previously, clearly theres no basic communication or note-taking. The interviewers themselves stressed the cultural issues and lack of belief in leadership time and time again, i took this as start up growing pains so continued..little did i know.
At the 6th interview stage i was told i would be made an offer, suddenly i needed one more final call with an engineer listed as a "Meet and Greet", essentially this was another interview stage. After being told i'm right candidate and HR are working out the final offer i was then told to meet the CEO as a final stage, becoming the 7th final call. After this final call, i was suddenly told that i uncovered through my questions(?!) that the role is not clear at Coincover anymore so the posting must be paused. I was then told by the recruiter they would figure this out in 1-2 weeks and report back to me as i was the "right person".
Time and time again i was led on by the talent recruiter.
Unfortunately the many red flags that have been left on Glassdoor regarding Coincover all seem accurate just from the conversations i had alone. I'm not at all disgruntled, in-fact i dodged a bullet but hoping someone doesn't go through the stressful experience.
Genuine culture, transparency and leadership issues.
