      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura tramite un selezionatore. La procedura ha richiesto una settimana. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Coinsquare (Toronto, ON) nel mese di apr 2018

      Colloquio

Phone interview first then in person interview. It was an hour in person interview. Overall positive interview. But not a very practical one. Some questions are like typical computer sicence quiz questions. My feedback is that the interviewers can be more prepare for the interview. They have only asked very general questions. For example they asked what is a reducer and what is state vs props. I gave that what I could think of at the time of interview. They rejected me because they think my react/redux skills are too basic. But My suggestion is that If they wanted more then you could try to be more specific and have prepared for better questions. Or they can even provide a mock product and doing a bit of pair programming. By asking book questions dont always get the best out of your candidate.

Ho presentato la mia candidatura tramite un'altra fonte. La procedura ha richiesto 2 settimane. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Coinsquare (Toronto, ON) nel mese di apr 2018

      Colloquio

Quick call with the recruiter to chat about my background, the company story, goals, etc. Asked to let them know when I was in Toronto for an onsite with the team. Onsite with the team was a blast - met a technical product manager (actually all their PM's are technical...) and another front end engineer. Robust discussion about all things Javascript, React, design and architecture - as well as delving into some more niche topics like frontend performance and accessibility. Final stage was a call with a Director, was more behavioural and culture fit than anything else, albeit a couple technical curveballs in there for good measure. 💯 experience, would recommend, and can't wait to start with the Coinsquad!

      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura di persona. La procedura ha richiesto 3 giorni. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Coinsquare (Toronto, ON) nel mese di mar 2018

      Colloquio

One 20 - 30 minute long phone screening interview followed by a one hour long in person interview with a technical component. The in-person interview was casual. It had two technical components. First, high-level questions regarding JS and React, in which I was asked to describe under the hood behaviours. Second, a whiteboard style algorithm question in which I was asked how I could determine if two shapes were overlapping.
