I applied online, received a 1 on 1 interview invitation which I accepted. Had to wait outside of the store of a team member to lead me into what I assume was the manager's office and was greeted by the manager plus assistant manager. It was a fairly brief interview because I'm a student and haven't had any previous work experience but the process was pretty quick. Afterwards, I got a phone call asking if I would be interested in accepting the position by the assistant manager then got invited to do an induction around 15 days after the phone call.

Coles is always awful, along with any big company like it. AI bs “interviews” that have 0 transparency on their actual purpose or relevancy. If you ever actually get into the store the interview is actually a tour, and the manager will tell you they don’t actually have any control over who gets hired so it’s pointless.

Very casual and quick, mainly consisted of them asking if I had any questions. Cam early but when I asked another worker the interviewer came quickly, walked me to a room in the back where I wrote down the hours I could do throughout the week,
