What process...it was simple..I had a pulse. Depending on the grography it may be this way in certain pockets of the US. They hinge all recruiting efforts on the w2 status vs 1099 which does absolutely nothing for the employee..non-existent HR and zero support or development once in role.

It was straight forward. They asked typical questions. For a management direct hire you have to prove you have been successful in the past. Once I proved I had made over $50K previously selling insurance, I was in.

Applied online for Territory Manager, got a call back that evening which was impressive briefly talked about position whats to be expected that they do pay salary and travel is expected and then he asked me to send over another copy of my resume. He called back the next morning stating going over everything again which is where everything changed he started talking about commission only position, cold calls, pavement pounding ect. I was confused asked him if this was a sales position not a management position which is what I applied for he then said I didn't have enough management experience (I have 15yrs) for what the are looking for so he is offering me something different. That was not profession at all

Three interviews -- phone screening, initial in-person interview and ride-along. The ride-along was a process that was supposed to allow the interviewer to evaluate my understanding and experience in the ancillary insurance market. It did and it gave me insight into Combined Insurance's organization and methodology for penetration in the Philadelphia market.
