I was approached by a recruiter through LinkedIn based on my previous experience. I was open that I did not have all that much experience with system deployment but I did have experience with their system. I applied to the job and was successful for the interview. The interview questions were heavily based on examples of system deployment, the two staff were easy to talk to and explained next steps and that I would be contacted the following week with an outcome. Almost 2 months went by without a response. I called the recruiter and left a VM and didn’t hear back a few weeks later I called him again. The recruiter was extremely dismissive and said there had been illness at the company and then they decided not to recruit for the role. All of this is understandable however a professional would have reached out to me and explained the delay and also the decision not to proceed with the role.
