It was a phone interview first and then I went to a recruiters office that had nothing to do with the company except to supply them with workers. I was first interviewed for an Operations Manager role but they told me that in this company, at the time IBM, it was necessary to work six months or more in an Advisor capacity to better manage the function long term. It took over 2 years to even get the opportunity to apply for advancement, the openings are so rarely posted and filled with favorites and political postings are rampant here.
