I was called almost immediately to set up a time for a call to learn more about the job. I was able to schedule the phone call for the next day. The job starts out selling products in places like Sam's Club and Costco at a booth on "performance based salary" with a promise of becoming manager within 6-9 months. All I could think of were those people at the kiosks in the mall that peddle thier lotion samples and are super pushy all the time.
They called me to schedule an in person interview, but I declined. That is not the sort of thing I want to do.
The whole thing was really upsetting because they post all these job postings that make you think the job is something that its not. I'm sure if they were more forward about the nature of the work they would not get many applicants and that's why, but it seems deceitful to me and I did not appreciate that.
