I had great interview experience at Confluent. I applied online when they just received Series D. There were 3 rounds of phone interviews, one with hiring manager, and two technical phone interviews. Shortly after the 2nd technical phone interview, I was invited to onsite. Onsite has 1 medium coding question, and 2 system design questions, the last 2 rounds are interviews with hiring manager and VP of engineering. You can easily tell the engineers there are very smart. For general engineering positions, it's usually very common to hear interviewers told you their coworkers are great, people are nice. I heard more at my interview at Confluent, almost every interviewer I met told me they like working here because people are nice and very smart. Confluent is a very tech driven company, and people have very strong background. The company is growing super fast, and it's a good time to join. I have my personal issues couldn't join the team, but it's on top of my list if I decide to move to west coast.
I went through a SWE interview process. It was a positive experience. The problems were of medium difficulty, with some harder follow ups. I had two technical interviews and a manager round. Ultimately, I did not receive an offer, but I would reapply.

I went through three technical rounds. The interviews were interesting, but after that, they didn't respond. They didn't provide the results of the process which was not professional on their part.

I interviewed for an entry level frontend engineer position. There were 4 rounds - a qualifying hackerrank, followed by 2 technical interviews, and then a final round with the hiring manager.
The process moves quickly, which was really refreshing (many large companies take weeks or months to invite you to an interview). In my experience, recruiting was very responsive, and they let me know ahead of time what general topics to expect for each interview, so there were no big surprises.
