      Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto 4 giorni. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Consumer Priority Service (Brooklyn, NY) nel mese di feb 2021

      Colloquio

      Pretty terrible. Had initial call with someone who was very nice and seemed to appreciate my experience and potential. He said the position was for a junior who was willing to grow with the company and into the role. He also said the salary I proposed was low but they'd consider performance-based raises 3 months down the line. I came to the onsite to meet a manager who made evident the initial person to whom I spoke had no clue what he was talking about. This interview was purely behavioral. He said I had all the skills but no drive. He also said the salary I asked was way too high and offered 2/3 of what I was asking. This guy prides himself in having learned fortran at some point. Good for him! He rambled for about 5 minutes and asked about three questions within this ramble. When I started answering one question at a time, he interrupts me immediately and keeps rambling. He kept repeating that he sees no way in which he could assess whether I actually had the skills I claimed to have. This was another major red flag. This person, skilled in fortran, is not aware of live coding problems, pair programming, technical interviews, etc. All in all a prime example of explicit red flags I should look in interviews: - clueless first interviewer, - continuously interrupting manager, - unaware of technical assessment standards Definitely worth the experience to go there to see for yourself that the above, sadly, is not made up. Great excuse to take a longer walk into brighton beach and get some russian imports
