The hiring manager lied about the interview process after my final interview (a mock presentation) and said there would additional interviews that will happen over a period of 4-6 weeks, rather than just admitting I wasn't getting an offer.
I applied here to use consultative sales skills to sell an Enterprise product. However, during the mock presentation, the script was flipped and it became apparent the hiring manager wanted a scenario where you sell a highly transactional product with pricing and budget disclosed right then and there.
In addition, during the mock discovery call, I was supposed to identify a need for a learning management tool to be used by multiple employees. The hiring manager only asked for a tool that would be used for his own purposes which an Excel spreadsheet can accomplish.
After being lied to in the interview process, I would have trust issues here about applying in the future.
My advice to Cornerstone is conduct your interviews as though a prospective employee is writing a Glassdoor review, good or bad.
