      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto 6 settimane. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Corning nel mese di apr 2025

      Colloquio

I may had participated in an onsite interview that shouldn't have happened. Here's why I am saying this: 1. As per the recruiter's information, prior the arrival, an e-mail should had come with parking instructions and arrival details. No e-mail came from their visitor account. No big deal. 2. Upon arrival at the reception, my name couldn't be found on the visitor list. No big deal. 3. Reception desk at Corning had no information either about my scheduled interview. No big deal. 4. The hiring manager wasn't available at the agreed time, only one hour later. Whoops. 5. The hiring manager didn't give the impression that she had seen my CV priorly. But sure she made repeated comments that my CV is too messy, too long and my certain experiences which are key for the position are out of date and are not up to "industry standards". The entire discussion even ended before the scheduled time as she seemed to be losing patience as the discussion was progressing. I mean sure, people at Corning can conduct the hiring process as they wish, but making anybody to travel 600 km with this kind of organization and for this kind of discussion is a waste of time, money and efficiency. Not so sure if this is the "industry standard" either. Her comment "Yeah, we're that trashy to conduct onsite interviews so people cannot hide behind the camera" is also one to remember. Have a nice life.
