      Colloquio

      It was a pretty simple process. I saw the job ad on Indeed, clicked apply. A few minutes later I got an email saying they had received my resume and would respond in 3 days or less. The next morning I got an email from Jennifer Jones saying they thought I could be a good match and asked me to schedule an interview via a link in the email. I talked to a recruiter the same day and he felt I was a good match. He scheduled a call with myself and a senior developer on the team for the next day. The interview was great. The interviewer, Michael, was very knowledgeable and did a great job covering the various topics of .NET development. He said he'd write up the interview notes and send over to the hiring manager. 2 days later I got an email that they wanted to make an offer and I accepted. The whole process took less than a week.

      15 min. Recruiter interview, scheduled 90 min technical. I had questioned the Director on if the technical interview was with the end-client, apparently Craftlogic has a policy of putting candidates through time consuming pedantic questions, prior to getting to find out if there is any gold at the end of the rainbow. I found the whole experience, from picking your own timeslot online for the first 15 minute interview, to allocated 90 minutes for a technical interview that really had no purpose for the candidate (interviews are two-way engagements, ie; do I want to work for this firm or on this project, what are the parameters of the engagement, etc.) ... you may get to that, after you jump through the hurdle of discussing who knows object oriented programming principles. I've implemented them, and I can tell you ... its annoying to have an interviewer not listen and try and play their canned answers back to you, not realizing you just said the same thing ... because they don't really know how to apply (or not apply) the principles they are asking you about. Save your time, and effort for engagement interviews ... these guys have a process, but it an "exlusionary" interview process or one of grading ... I don't accept grading (even on a curve) from examiners that don't know what their doing.
