      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto 2 mesi. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Craig Hospital (Denver, CO)

      Colloquio

At first, I was excited for the opportunity to interview with Craig Hospital. I had heard great things about the hospital and was inspired by the work they do. By the end of the interview process, I didn't even want the job. The recruiter seemed to hate her life, and her job. It's too bad she's the first impression candidates receive of Craig Hospital. She's not a kind person and doesn't even seem excited to work there. She would only communicate by phone - not email - to schedule interviews, which made it very challenging. Also, she wouldn't provide very simple details including who I would be interviewing with on a panel interview. When she requested two different times for samples of my work, she couldn't clarify what types of work samples they wanted to see. The interview with her included all behavioral based interview questions related to their core values. The second interview was virtual scheduled for 1 hour with the Director and Manager, who appeared to be new to the position. 30 minutes through the virtual interview, when I still haven't been given the opportunity to ask any questions or learn more about they position. They bring on 5 more members of the team to the virtual interview, and proceed to ask me the same exact questions that the Director and Manager did in the first 30 minutes, leaving me with maybe 5 minutes at the end to ask any questions. Despite the red flags, I continued on in the process to the in-person panel interview. Again, the recruiter wouldn't tell me who would be part of the interview panel. I was waiting in the lobby for my interview when the Manager made eye contact, and walked right past me, not even acknowledging I was waiting. The Director brought me into the interview room with 6 people already seated, no one got up to introduce themselves. It was dead silence and seemed so uncomfortable, not an atmosphere where the team enjoys themselves. Before we started, I asked if I could get a glass of water - knowing I'd be talking for the next hour. The Manager looked in one place in the room, couldn't find anything and said no water! At a hospital, you can't offer a candidate a glass of water for an interview, how are the patients treated?! The Director has been there more than 20 years, the Manager has also been there awhile. However, she was new to being a Manager, and lacked leadership qualities. One of the questions I was asked during the panel interview was - if you're going into battle and could bring an animal real or fictional, what would it be? By the end of the process, I didn't even want the job, and it seemed like an awful place to work. Unless there's a change in leadership, I would be cautious about joining the Marketing department.

      Domande di colloquio [1]

      Domanda 1

-If you're going into battle and you can bring an animal with you real or fictional, what would it be? (Please tell me how this question relates to the qualifications of the job) -Look up their core values, for reach one, you'll be asked a series of behavioral questions asking for examples of when you've demonstrated each one.
