I applied through a friend that is a Senior SWE. After passing the screening process I was invited for the onsite. My friend brought to my attention that they have me listed as a Senior Software Engineer candidate.
My onsite was 5.5 hours long. I met with 7 people, 6 of which were interviewing me and one that was having lunch with me. 3 of the people I was scheduled to meet with were changed last minute without any notice to me and by the looks of it to them. First person was a bit late (I think he was not told he was going to interview me until a few minutes before) and seems like he was dealing with another task at hand as his attention was more on his phone.
Few days later I was contacted by the recruiter, congratulating me on getting the role and she expressed that there was a mistake as they actually had me as a Senior Software Engineer but the good news is that I actually passed. However, now they are assigning me as Software Engineer level 2 and they want me to come and meet with 4 of the hiring managers for those open position. Excited about the news I walked over from the offices I am at to their and met with the hiring manager and the conversation comprises 50/50 about me and the teams and the roles.
After a few days later and not hearing back. I reach out via email and get a call back. Here is the best part, I go from passing the onsite as a Senior Software Engineer to not being offered a role as they deem me not a cultural fit and they feel that they do not have the resources to mentor me. Then the recruiter has the general polite offer of let's connect on LinkedIn and gives us another try later...

Recruiter reached out via Email. So I scheduled a phone screen. Then got called for an on-site. I think it went well. But recruiter never got back to me even after sending many follow up emails. Seems to be a similar experience to other reviews here.

Onsite with 4 sessions, manager chatting with background and tech skills, two coding sessions, one system design session.
