      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto 2 settimane. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso CrewBloom

      Colloquio

Interviewer follows a script, so it wouldn't matter if the answer to the next question has already been mentioned. The recruiter will ask it anyway. During the interview, they'll ask if it's OK to record. If you tell them you'd prefer not to be recorded, they'll tell you it's necessary and record anyway, then they will turn off their camera and only you will be recorded. It is very unprofessional. I almost felt like they were just trying to get my personal information and biometrics. The interviewer also seems to be clueless about the job and kept asking questions that were not helpful in properly assessing a candidate's qualifications. They were very generic and had they reviewed my resume, they would have already known the answers. They also do not disclose the salary on their job ads, just that it's "competitive". In fact, they explicitly warn candidates about asking about the salary. They even have a YouTube video for it, it's in their CrewBloom channel, titled "How to Ace an Online Job Interview". If you're curious, no, the salary is NOT competitive. The salary is good for a high school grad but not for a degree holder. Overall, it was a waste of time.

      Domande di colloquio [1]

      Domanda 1

These are questions that shouldn't have been asked repeatedly because they should have already known the answers. It was in my resume and they also asked me to fill out a form before the interview. The form will ask about very specific and personal questions, like a Google map pin on your house's location. I guess they just don't have the ability to properly assess applicants, or they just want to get your personal info. So be careful about sharing them, especially your IDs and identification numbers. What school did you attend? (It was in my resume) How did you find out about us? (They were chatting me through a job platform and they still asked me this.) How old are you? What is your full name? Will you be amenable to installing and being monitored through a remote monitoring software? This is non-negotiable. (If you say no, they might try to convince you. I said no because I have security concerns about them being able to view my activity on my personal laptop. I was polite, of course, but I had to be honest about it.) Will you be amenable to working on site? This is non-negotiable. (I was surprised because the job ad said remote work. So obviously, I had to say no again because their office is 6 to 7 hours away from my house, and renting there would be very expensive. Also I had to confirm if this was necessary because the job ad says "work from home". They only tagged it as such so they can get more applications, which again, was very unprofessional. Click and bait in recruitment? Yes, it's possible.) So, in short, I had to withdraw, although that part was already implied because I did not want to work on site.
