Colloquio
Standard process starting with recruiter screen followed by interviews with PMs... the final round is onsite...
Guys, Cruise, you should note that Product Managers at Cruise are not really product managers. I spoke with 2 and both had the title of Sr. product manager but during the interview that I won't even ask a PM intern. Basic questions not even about the process but more focus on - what is the process called? Are you kidding me..
I looked up the PMs I spoke with and realized that their combined "product" experience was less than 2 years... and all of that at Cruise.
I am sure Cruise is a great company and building a great product. But my impression is that their PM function is more of a TPM role...

Totally random questions that will leave you in a state of shock...
Interview process was great. It was smooth, use case interviews and case studies. Final interview was amazing, hiring manager was so good. Pay is not that good, benefits are good.
Ho presentato la mia candidatura tramite segnalazione di un dipendente. La procedura ha richiesto 5 settimane. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Cruise (Detroit, MI) nel mese di lug 2021
Colloquio
Interview was in 2 rounds -
1. Take home case and then present when ready to the hiring manager - very related to the role.
2. 5 back-to-back interviews with cross-functional partners around behavior and circumstance-based questions. One of them was also a live case with 2 interviewers evaluating your thinking process through the case.

One question from the hiring manager that jumped out to me was - "Do you see yourself as a people manager at some point?" .......which indicated that there is a LOT of growth opportunities at the company.
Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Cruise (San Francisco, CA) nel mese di ago 2020
Colloquio
1) Recruiter screen. 2) 30 min product phone screen with another PM. 3) 4x hour long 1:1s with product, hardware, design, engineering.
A few of the interviewers were personable and fun to chat with, but not the PMs who made the experience feel very transactional. After a brief "hello" and 15 sec intro, they dove straight into behavioral questions. The PM made it feel like I was wasting their precious time. Made it to the final round, but no offer.

The CEO wants to launch flying cars, how would you assess that opportunity?
