Went straight from application to in-person interview. The interview was relatively informal and quick, we discussed projects I had worked on in my portfolio and they talked about their company and that was it.

2 face to face interviews. Typically with technical director and principle/senior engineer. Formal conversation about your abilities and how you would fit in. The interviews are about 2 to 3 weeks apart and you would offer you position if successful.

I have been in contact with one of the directors through another employee of the company. I have the interview within a month. After that I have no contact with the company and the director did not even send me an email to say that I did not get the job.
