There are excellent hiring fairs which allow you to travel throughout a gymnasium "browsing" schools and interviewing with schools of your choice. Most questions, as a first year teacher applicant, are used to gauge whether you can cut the muster. They will give case-scenarios of difficult situations you may encounter as a teacher - the most extreme of cases to see how you would respond.

The interview process started with meeting with the recuritment team at DCPS. The interview was brief but asked about teaching experience. From there each school had an individual process with pretty straightforward teaching questions.
