After an application screening by the HR department (CV, cover letter and online tests) a telephone interview is conducted.
Background will be questioned (education + work experience). One question about hobbies was asked in German.
Then I was invited for a 2-day Assesment Center in Bonn (Germany) November 30th and Dec 1st.
These two days are very intense (7-8 exercices were planed).
Group interview (5 team members) : Shaping and implementing a social innovation for DPDHL employee
Individual Case study : action plan after high absenteeism rate within different departments of the company
Individual interview : It was asked before the AC to prepare a self presentation on power point.
1st step : Self interview
2nd steps : questions about motivations, background, skills, cultural fit, general knowledge questions about E-commerce
Planning exercice : a 20-page document is given to participant which detail 10 employees leave request. Lots of constraints are also added (sickness/training period/business trip...)
The aim of the exercise is to assign several projects to the all team on a weekly base for one term.
The most important is to be able to successfully conduct the oral exercice were DPDHL are part of the judging panel. They play a significant role on the final decision contrary to the recruitment consultant (manager berater).
