A simple online test including reading comprehension and an English test (not very detailed but still significant). Second stage: Video interview. Questions will be in both Chinese and English, but there is no requirement to answer in English or Chinese. I personally responded in the language the question was asked. It felt like taking the TOEFL test with about 30 seconds to 1 minute of preparation time for each question. If I remember correctly, there were about 4-6 questions. The first one was an introduction of myself. I forgot some in the middle, and one of the questions was about best achievements. However, later, other colleagues mentioned they responded in Chinese... so it probably doesn't affect the outcome. In-person interview (individual, not group): This also has 3 parts: (1) HR starts by introducing the company background, organizational structure, and future career development in the company for the position you are applying for. (2) Gemba Walk and Listen (actually going to the site to understand the content of the job you will be doing, about 20-30 minutes). (3) In addition to HR, the training manager and the future department manager were also present. The interview starts with your resume, and basic questions are asked based on your written experiences (it is very apparent that they have seriously reviewed your resume and are not just asking generic questions). Follow-up questions included situational queries and asking about your observations during the Gemba Walk (take notes seriously!).
