Lots of problems on worksheets working with one other engineer. They were very helpful and allowed you to work through the problems. Process was very enjoyable. Not much can be done to better prepare for it.

After talking to someone at a career fair, I had an on campus interview shortly after. During this interview, I mostly filled out some worksheets that outlined simple engineering/math problems and did not have a lot of time to chat otherwise. Soon after I was invited to an onsite interview day, which lasted 5 hours. I had 3 different technical interviews, which covered some coding logic, debugging, and design questions. I was able to talk through my answers and had time to ask about the experience of my interviewers, who were engineers at DMC. I got a tour of the office and went out to lunch with the team. The end was a phone screen with an HR person in another office, as well as a phone screen with the regional manager.

How would you talk through debugging a laser counting system that is not functioning properly on a factory floor?
Question about encoders: given a readout of a lock turning a full circle in one direction, can you decode what the combo was from just the read out of the encoders?
