I was contacted by a recruiter who did a pre-screen, and then the recruiter set me up with an in-person interview at one of their regional offices. The interview itself was with two gentleman who currently work in the region that the candidate would be working directly with. One of the gentleman was very engaged and asked several questions and answered several of my questions with great interest. The other gentleman spent the majority of the interview on his phone; it did not appear he was just checking for urgent calls but he was texting, looking at things, etc. I completely understand if I was not the best candidate for the position, however this made me feel very disrespected. I spent a lot of time preparing for the interview and traveling to get there, and it made it feel like I did not receive the same respect from the company. It was an unfortunate experience.
