I applied online to several locations all over the US. Only some of the facilities are taking MBAs rather than RNs for this position. I was emailed by a recruiter saying "I'm sorry we are having trouble connecting via phone"...this was the first time anyone had contacted me. After a game of phone tag I finally got through the first phase of interviews with the recruiter. Completed the online questions that focused on time management and leadership traits.
Then waited another 3 weeks to interview with the Regional Operations Director, then 2 more weeks to speak to a current FA in the area. Recruiters response time was between 2-5 days via email or phone.
Everyone was VERY nice but I had to make a move quickly and the way to move quickly is to get a faster recruiter from what I see. So I did just that.
In the mean time I began the process with another DaVita recruiter for the Florida region and have had two phone interviews and am scheduled for an onsite interview next week.
Questions were:
"tell me about yourself" is always the first question. Tell me about a time you had to deal with a difficult employee, how do you describe your leadership style, what dialysis experience do you have, what makes you think you are right for this position, what brings you to this city?

1st Was Phone interview with recruiter: They asked questions about my background, and behavioral questions. It took about 45 minutes and she took a lot of notes.
2nd Was a Panel Interview with other Facility Administrators and Group Facility Administrators. All of the questions were behavioral questions, mostly about how you have handled certain situations in the past. It is important that you are thorough with the recruiter and in your resume because the panel will have your resume pulled up and the notes from the recruiter.
3rd Was an interview with the Regional Director, which she asked behavioral questions as well as trying to get an understanding of my knowledge of the business aspect of the position.
4th I did a shadow day at the facility with the Regional Director and acting Facility Administrator. i was shown the facility and met some of the staff. Its important to have a lot of questions and get a chance to have a one on one with the Regional Director if they are their.
Finally I did an interview with the VP and Director or Persons. This interview was intense, The will ask behavioral questions but they will want to know the thought process, the why and the how when you make a decision. Also they will focus on whatever shortcoming you may have and ask how you plan to overcome it.
Was very detailed and went level to level, had to create a presentation that was given to upper management. Enjoyed the entire experience and loved the work that I did. I worked just over 2 years and enjoyed the experience.
