I went through a five-round interview process completed within two weeks at the request of the hiring team, only to experience a prolonged and poorly managed post-interview period that reflected badly on the organization.
After completing all rounds, the timeline was pushed back three separate times with minimal communication. In total I was left without any substantive update for six weeks. When I followed up directly with the recruiter multiple times after timeline slips and then the hiring manager, neither responded in any meaningful way or at all.
The rejection itself came as an automated, boilerplate email with zero personalized feedback, despite the company's website explicitly stating that candidate feedback is part of their process.
The science and the mission at Danaher are genuinely interesting, and the people I interviewed with were sharp and engaged. But the talent acquisition process does not reflect the professionalism the company projects externally. Candidates investing significant time and preparation deserve better than silence and a form email.
If you are considering applying, go in with eyes open about post-interview communication. The process itself may move fast, but what follows can be a black hole.
