To sum it up: A pleasant interview process which made me excited to do more work for the company, but lack of communication and a likely massive deluge of applications means I'm disillusioned I'll hear more from this opportunity. The first half of the interview involved doing things such as writing a unique story about an octopus. These specifically ask for answers to not be created used AI. The second half of the process split into two parts. One was talking with the AI bots, and rating the quality of the responses you get back. You can choose the subject you talk about, following some documentation given. You can choose either a generic chat, or one based in coding - there is no guidance given which of these is more likely to help you progress in the company. The second was evaluating two pre-generated responses and identifying the one that has a problematic response. (Wrong information, presenting harmful information, etc.) You're then brought to a screen that thanks you for your application and says you will be contacted via email if your application progresses. I unfortunately seem to have fallen into the pool of people that have completed the starter assessment, but do not hear back further. Researching why this could be showed that some current listings for this role say there's a 2 week waiting period for evaluating applications (which I have now passed). Furthermore, listings for the site are displaying 5000+ submitted applications for these positions, meaning that . With no communication from the company - there's never any formal rejections sent out, and support is famously unresponsive - it's hard to know what could have been done better, or if my application has been reviewed at all. The only upside was that I was paid for the interview tasks I did. Their advertising is overly optimistic and doesn't show how unlikely it is to get through - a shame, since I could see myself doing a lot of work for this company if I had gotten through.
