I was referred by an employee. The first step was a call with the recruiter. He barely asked me any questions about myself or my background. He mainly went on about how he needed to hire X amount of people to keep up with growth. I can appreciate the urgency yet it seemed like they weren't really looking at you as a person, more of a number to hit. The next interview was with a manager on the team. They asked about my background and a few general SQL questions on joins. It was also quite rushed and we ran out for time.
Afterward, they told me to reach out if I had any questions. I reached out via email and never got a reply to my follow up questions. A few weeks later, I reached out to the recruiter to get the status of my application. No reply.
Generic questions about the profile, experience. I guess they are looking for specialist ins specific areas rather than generalists. They asked me about specific data areas expertise in data and analytics spce

The interview process is long, but very well organized and fair. The expectations for each interview are communicated clearly and every interviewer was very polite and honest. If I had to design an interview process in the future I would use the process I went through here as a template.

The interview questions are very fair. you do not need previous knowledge of databricks to pass, but review concepts on data science/ML, big data, data management, cloud and programing skills with python/sql.
