After applying, I had a quick conversation with the recruiter (who was also the hiring manager) to make sure we were aligned on expectations, and the role. Then, I interviewed with a future peer. After that, three interviews were arranged - one with finance, one with engineering, and another with the systems lead. As it became clear I would be receiving an offer, I decided to reach out to two additional team members via LinkedIn to get their perspectives. I also requested two more meetings with direct team members to wrap up the interview process. Finally, prior to offer, Databricks requested to check 3-5 references. Overall it took about a month between my first meeting and the reference check process to begin.
